Gendered Cultures at the Crossroads of Imagination, Knowledge andPolitics
The 7th European Feminist Research Conference presents cutting-edgescholarship on gendered cultures. The conference reflects the diversityof women’s and gender studies, incorporating interdisciplinaryperspectives on imagination, knowledge and politics. This event isorganized by the major networks in feminist research in Europe: ATHENA(Advanced Thematic Network in European Women’s Studies) and AOIFE(Association of Institutions for Feminist Education and Research inEurope) in cooperation with the Graduate Gender Programme of UtrechtUniversity.
European Feminist Research Conferences usually have more than 500participants from both inside and outside of Europe. The 7th edition of the European Feminist Research Conference will beinterdisciplinary in several ways. Firstly, it will employ the Utrechtexpertise of crossing the boundaries of the scholarly and the artisticthrough a focus on, and a review of, literary, visual and artisticrepresentations. Secondly, it will work with a matrix of intersectingthemes rather than with singular conference strands. Thus participatingscholars, students and artists are asked to situate themselves in thiscross-cutting matrix.
